The Falcon football team continues to turn heads in Division five as they head home this week to host the newly formed co-op out of Clark County; the Loyal/Greenwood Football Team. This comes after Amherst routed Marathon 47-7, continuing their undefeated streak. Loyal/Greenwood comes into Week Five 1-3 on the year, with their only win being against Neillsville/Granton 39-0.
Due to Loyal/Greenwood having no stats entered for their team, there will be no players to watch for the Football Team.
Junior Michael Glodowski has established himself as a dual threat quarterback through the first three games of the season prior to Marathon. When it come to passing, he’s gone 22/32 for 369 yards and 5 touchdowns with only two interceptions. On the ground, he has ran for 233 yards and 5 touchdowns. Sully Perkins has also made a big name for himself, catching the ball for 184 yards and two touchdowns, as well as returning two kickoffs against Shiocton. On the defensive side of the ball, it has been top tier for Sam Stuczynski and Jack Seeger. The Senior duo has two sacks each to their names, as well as a combined five tackles for a loss of yards.
Kickoff is set for 7pm at Heartland Farms Field on Friday, September 20th. Make sure to get your neon attire and cheer on the blue and white. Go Falcons!
