Student Council’s Holiday Week is always one of the best times of the school year. It’s a week full of fun dress-up days, holiday vibes, and a super exciting pep rally to kick off winter break. This year’s themes and games will be awesome, so make sure you join in and show off your holiday spirit!
Monday is Ugly Sweater and Holiday Socks Day. Dig out your ugliest, most over-the-top holiday sweater and pair it with some festive socks — the crazier, the better! On Tuesday, the school will look like a string of lights on Holiday Lights Day. Upperclassmen should wear red, lowerclassmen should wear green, and staff should wear white to create a bright and festive atmosphere. Let’s see which group can be the most colorful!
Wednesday is Holiday Movie Character Day, which is perfect for all the holiday movie fans out there. Whether you dress up as the Grinch, Buddy the Elf, or even Rudolph, it’s your chance to get creative and show off your favorite characters. On Thursday, it’s Frostbite Day. With upperclassmen in white, lowerclassmen in blue, and staff in black, we hope to create a frosty, wintery look. Then Friday wraps up the week with our beloved Night Before Christmas PJ Day. Roll out of bed and come to school in your coziest pajamas.
The highlight of the week is the holiday pep rally during fifth hour on Friday, December 20. We’ve got some seriously fun games planned this year. In Table Surfing, teams will race to roll someone across the gym floor on a table. Sibling Balloon Pop will be a hilarious challenge where siblings work together to pop balloons in each other’s laps. Due to popular demand, Basketball Tic-Tac-Toe will return. This is the same game we did during Homecoming week. This game is a mix of lighting basketball and tic-tac-toe and winners get ultimate bragging rights. And if everything works out, we might even have Sumo Wrestling with inflatable suits for some epic laughs.
Holiday Week is all about having fun, spreading holiday cheer, and ending the 2024 year on a high note. So grab your ugly sweaters, dress up, and don’t forget to cheer loudly at the pep rally. Let’s make this the best Holiday Week yet!
