Super Bowl 59, a rematch from two years ago, proved to be highly entertaining with the Philadelphia Eagles defeating the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22. The Chiefs were seeking their third consecutive title but were denied by a stout Eagles defense and battle-tested offense.
Prior to the game, there was plenty of talk throughout the halls about the upcoming game with diverging opinions.
“It’ll be a good game,” said Jacob Sipior who accurately predicted that the Eagles would indeed get their vengeance by a final score of 37-20 (he nearly hit that right on). Sipior believed the Eagles would win because of Saquan Barkley, a star running back on a terrible New York Giants team who signed with the Eagles for three years and $37.75 million and then went to rush for 2,200 yards.

Next, Leila Stremkowski dissed on the Chiefs, echoing a conspiracy theory shared by many. “NFL lowkey has been rigged because the Chiefs have won a lot lately and I hope the Eagles win just so the Chiefs lose.” She makes a good point when she says the NFL is rigged and that could be true because there’s been a lot of slander on social media about whether or not games are being rigged, primarily from the referees either missing blatant calls or by just being completely wrong. Leila predicted a score of 31-28 with the Eagles winning. She also noted, “…I like the color green and that’ll fuel them to win.”
Dylan Preuss said, “I don’t know, it’s gonna be one of the super bowls of all time.” He thought the final score was going to be the Chiefs winning 24-14 because “they have more wins,” which is true; with the Chiefs having a regular season record of 15-2 and the Eagles being 14-3.
Lastly, Brandon Stremkowski – a high school math teach, otherwise known as Mr. Strem – said, “It’s redundant and boring [matchup] but they are the two best teams and it’ll be a good game,” predicting a score of 31-27 Chiefs. He based this prediction on the assumption that Jalen Hurts (Eagles’ QB) is much worse than Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs’ QB). Maybe he should have done the math!
Opinions here reflected those across America and were evenly divided. In the end, the Chiefs failed to get their three peat and the Eagles emerged as Super Bowl Champs for the second time in the team’s history.
