Citation of Commendation

WHEREAS, the Portage County Chamber of Commerce annually honors an educator with the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Education, contribution to the Portage County community and participation in chamber events; and

WHEREAS, Sara Pate has been selected to receive the 2025 Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Education; and

WHEREAS, Sara has built a career spanning 17 years, fourteen of which have been in service to the Portage County community at Amherst High School as an educator in the field of health services; and

WHEREAS, Sara has supported the activities of the local HOSA – Future Health Professionals chapter, and dedicated her time to assisting students develop the necessary leadership skills needed to succeed; and

WHEREAS, Sara has served well beyond the boundaries of the classroom, as she currently serves as chair of the Wisconsin Health Science Association Executive Committee and actively engages in such a pivotal role, advancing health science education across Wisconsin; now

THEREFORE, the members of the Wisconsin State Legislature, on the motion of Senator Patrick Testin and Representative Vincent Miresse, do hereby congratulate and commend Sara Pate for being recognized as the 2025 Portage County Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Education recipient, and thank her for her outstanding contributions to and active participation in the Portage County community.
