Senior Ethan Peskie pitched five innings and gave up four hits and three runs in the first of two games versus Pacelli. Sully Perkins had the only run for Amherst.
In game two, the bats of both teams got heated, with Amherst’s Sully Perkins, Michael Glodowski, Logan Hintz, and John Carlson each contributing a hit. Freshman Wyatt Beaudoin took the loss after pitching 3-2/3 innings.
April 25: Amherst 0, Witt-Birn 11
Michael Glodowski pitched 4-2/3 innings and took the tough loss to Wittenberg-Birnamwood. Amherst will take on Pacelli in a double-header tomorrow.
April 22: Amherst 10, Wega-Fremont 4
Falcons clip the wings of the Warhawks, 10-4. A.J. O’brien was efficient on the mound going 6 strong innings, allowing 1 earned run and striking out 7.
Offensively, seven players recorded hits being led by O’brien, Gage Glodowski and Noah Spoelstra each having two apiece.
Amherst is now 6-2 overall, 4-0 CWC-East with the seasons biggest game coming up Friday.
April 17: Amherst 20, Manawa 1
Amherst improved to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in conference after a lopsided win over Manawa.
This week Amherst hosts Wega on Tuesday, Wittenberg on Friday, and travels to Stevens Point Pacelli on Saturday for a doubleheader. Falcons are 5-2 overall, 3-0 CWC-East.
The Falcons will host Weyauwega-Fremont at home on Tuesday, April 22 at 4:30.
April 12: Amherst 12, Menominee Nation 0
Ethan Peskie pitched three innings in the win over Menominee. Michael Glodowski, Dylan Cook, Landon Wenzel, Noah Spoelstra, and freshman Levi Cullen each scored one run, while A.J. O’Brien and Cameron Haferbecker contributed two runs each. Junior Sully Perkins added three runs.
Sully Perkins and Mike Glodowski combined for 7 hits, 8 runs, & 9 RBIs. Dylan Cook, AJ Obrien, and Landon Wenzel each chipped in respectively with hits, runs, and RBIs of their own. Ethan Peskie pitched in both games throwing 5 innings and striking out 6.
April 11: Amherst 2, Shiocton 1
Amherst welcomed Shiocton to town on Friday. Michael Glodowski notched the win by pitching 6 innings, with runs by Ethan Peskie and A.J. O’Brien.
April 10: Amherst 6, Westfield 3
Senior A.J. O’Brien gets the win, pitching 4 innings in a 6-3 win over Westfield. Runs came from Ethan Peskie, Gage Glodowski, Michael Glodowski, Sully Perkins, and two from Noah Spoelstra.
April 5: Mayville 7, Amherst 0; Mayville 10, Amherst 0
April 3: Amherst 9, Pardeeville 8
On Opening Day, the Falcons win a dog fight, beating the Bulldogs of Pardeeville by a score of 9-8.
Dylan Cook and Noah Spoelstra has two hits each, while Michael Glodowski added 3 RBIs to lead the way at the plate. A.J. O’Brien added a double, as well.
Glodowski started on the mound, going three strong innings and striking out four to earn the win. Sully Perkins, Ethan Peskie, and O’Brien all threw in relief to preserve the victory.
