The varsity track team competed at the WIAA Track & Field Regional Meet in Waupaca on Monday, May 27. There were numerous personal records set in various events and several of the athletes went on to qualify for Sectionals this coming Friday.
Moving onto Sectionals is Colton VanderLaan in the open 400 meter run, Elliot Podeszwa in the 800 meter run, Morgan Brown in the 1600 meter run, Eli Bohm and Erick Gunther in the 3200 meter run, Sam Stuczynski in the triple jump, and the 4 x 800 meter relay of Taylan McCormick, Bohm, Podeszwa, and VanderLaan, and the 4 x 400 meter relay team of McCormick, Podeszwa, VanderLaan, and Stuczynski.
For the girls team, Sectional qualifiers included Ava Straw in the high jump, Grace Roberts in shot put, and Alexis Wierzba in the discus and the 100m high hurdles.
