Senior basketball player Courtney Groholski plans on attending the University Of Wisconsin-Lacrosse in hopes of achieving an undergraduate degree in sports exercise science. Groholski’s interest in sports exercise science was influenced by her career in basketball, as well as an ACL injury she suffered in 2024.

While Groholski’s dream job is to be a home renovator, she says that it is not a super realistic thing and that since it is a dream job, she doesn’t have to be very good at it. Groholski would be interested in being a home renovator because she thinks it looks cool to see the outcome of all the work that was done. 

Groholski, 17, likes to listen to Country music artists such as Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen,and Braxton Keith. She also likes Pop music artists such as Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna. 

Groholski has many diverse interests. When she has time, Groholski likes to watch War, romance, and action movies as well as rewatching her favorite TV series The Vampire Diaries and her favorite childhood Disney movie The Princess And The Frog, when she feels the occasion. Groholski also enjoys watching her favorite sports team, the girls college basketball UConn team. A previous memory from her seventh grade year is when she was assigned a presentation to complete for her teacher Mr. K. and when she had gone to the front of the room to present it, she and Mr. K both started laughing until “they were on the floor.”

Groholski’s favorite memories from the previous summer are when she went to a lake house up north at spider lake with her family, Going to her Tuesday night basketball league, and when she went swimming and fishing with her family and boyfriend, Ayden.

Her favorite place to be is in her room or the gym because she says it is peaceful for her and gives her time for herself. Groholski’s friends describe her as a compassionate, funny, and outgoing person, and overall she enjoys life and is looking forward to her future.
