The Amherst Volleyball team has had a great season this year, as they are now headed on their way to the playoffs. This is a very exciting time for our senior volleyball players – Delaney Conner, Caly Lepak, Presley Voss, and Rianna Ziesman – and they have positive things to say about their season so far.
“This season is going very well. We have been working really well together and we continue to get better every day,” Presley Voss said.
Caly Lepak expanded on Voss’s idea by saying, “The key to our team success was growing as a team and doing small team bonding things like jamming out to music and team sleepovers.” According to the seniors, these simple team bonding activities have resulted in great team successes.
Even though at the beginning of the season the volleyball team wasn’t successful with their first game, they used it for fuel.
“Over the season we started off well,” Rianna Ziesman said. “We did lose a game to Weyauwega and it really fueled the fire to win. We took our loss and dominated in the rest of our games.”
After each game after their loss and all their wins they motivated each other and celebrated it and focused on their next game.
“We congratulate each other and get ready for what’s next!” Delaney Conner added.
Our Tomorrow River community congratulates and wishes the Amherst Varsity Volleyball team the best of luck in regional play! (Editor’s not: The girls advanced to the regional final.)
