Halloween is always such a fun holiday to celebrate, whether you are trick or treating, going to haunted corn mazes, or just sleeping in. So I talked to my classmates to see what plans they have for Halloween.
Some people think you’re never too old to dress up and ask strangers for candy.
“I am having a sleepover, and then I’m going trick or treating,” said sophomore Amelia Scheunemann. Senior Tess Jeske said, “I am going trick or treating in West Bend with my cousin.”
For some people, it’s just not Halloween if they don’t do something scary.
Senior Faith Sopa said, “I will be going to the Feltz corn maze with my boyfriend.” Junior Alex Duley is also planning to go to the haunted corn maze while hanging out with his friends.
Halloween and traditional activities aren’t high on the lists of all high schoolers. Junior Ian Dudley said he isn’t focusing on trick or treating. Instead, he is going grouse hunting. Sophomore Xavier Farrey states he is planning “to par-tay!” And sophomore Owen Wiesman said, “I’m going to do absolutely nothing and pretend it’s not Halloween.” And sophomore Cash Laszewski isn’t planning on doing anything Halloween related but is actually going to “band meetings” with his friends.
For several high school students, a day off school is the perfect excuse to do one of their favorite activities — catching up on sleep (which happens to be one of my favorite activities).
“I’m getting back from FFA nationals at 6 in the morning, so I’m going to sleep,” said sophomore Chloe Dudley. Sophomore Athena Nowland said she is going to “sleep all day, sleep all day!”
Another sophomore, Olive Impullitti, has similar plans, although she’s combining it with a little activity. “I am having a sleepover and then going hiking with my family,” Olive said.
Students aren’t the only ones who have a bunch of fun during Halloween. Teachers do, too!
According to Mr. Davidson, “I will be handing out candy like I do every year.”
“In the evening, we are going to Waukesha to go trick or treating with cousins,” said Ms. Kaycie.
Merry is planning on “I try to watch my three favorite Halloween-themed movies — It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Sleepy Hollow.”
“I don’t have any plans but to come to school, maybe going to see the band at the brewery,” said Mrs. Ludeman.
Halloween is such a fun holiday to get out of the house and spend time with friends and family. What plans do YOU have for Halloween?
