Halloween is coming up soon and my favorite tradition is dressing up. But maybe not everyone likes that part of the spookiest holiday. So I asked some classmates: What’s your favorite Halloween tradition?
For those who like dressing up, like I do, junior Naomi Bohm said this year she dressed up as “a zombie pirate princess.” Senior Marianne Jensen remembers dressing up as a popcorn box in first grade. Last year, senior Tess Jeske dressed up as Cady Heron from the movie Mean Girls.
“I like to watch the elementary kids dress up for Halloween,” said Mrs. Ludeman. “I like it when the elementary puts on a little Halloween parade.”
But not everyone focuses on the costumes. Junior Alex Duley said, “My favorite Halloween tradition is to carve pumpkins.” Freshman Cash Bestul expanded on this idea by saying his favorite pumpkin carving design is a simple jack-o-lantern.
There are other students who prefer to spend Halloween outside. For example, freshman Pierce Rasmussen likes to go deer hunting on Halloween. And senior Logan Glodowski said he went to Feltz’s haunted corn maze.
