A contingent of 23 Amherst High School students recently competed in the Investment Bowl Challenge held at Mid-State Technical College with four advancing to state competition slated for May 17.

Advancing to state was the second place team of Haley Peskie, Jake Derezinski, Sara Breed, and Payton Jastromski. Finishing in third place were Wyatt Blaskowski, Tyler Soulsby, Ryan Breed, and Trevor Ehrenberg.

Other team members included Drew Lewallen, Jacob Spoelstra, Marcus Borgen, Aiden Krupka, Maria Kildahl, Cassidy Kostuch, Estella Brown, Carson Zietlow, Sam Wangelin, Matt Glodowski, Blake Heinz, Callie Konkol, Abby Giddings, Abby Rieck, and Brylea Eschenbauch.

“It was great to see so many students participating in investment club and doing so well during competition. Everyone had fun and we’re looking forward to doing it again in May,” said investment club advisor Jason Pickering.
