The entire school community sends Max Voss off to state with a pep rally the eve of his big race.

Senior Max Voss earned the title of Runner-Up (second place), out of 152 competitors, at the Division 2 State Cross Country Meet held Sat., Oct. 28. This is the highest a boy has ever placed for Amherst Cross Country at the State Meet. He posted a time of 16:00.2.  This is the fastest time ever posted at the State Meet by an Amherst runner (with the next fastest being 16:41 seconds in 1998).

Congratulations Max Voss on your outstanding performance at the WIAA State Cross Country Meet! We at Amherst are super proud of your efforts!
