A brother & best bud

Kaleb is a lanky, strong, lean guy. Kaleb is 6’5 and it is easy to tell when you are standing next to him. At home, Kaleb typically wears pajama pants, but at school and work he has jeans on. He also wears his hey dude shoes all the time unless he is working. When he is working, he wears boots. Kaleb is typically wearing a T-shirt or cut off shirt during the summer and a sweatshirt during the winter. He also always has a hat on. Kaleb wears his Heat keeper stocking hat during the winter and one of his baseball caps during the summer. He has long blonde hair and blue eyes.

I believe my favorite thing about Kaleb is that he is always a shoulder to cry on when you need it. As my little brother, he likes to make sure the guys I’m with are treating me right. He is always there to listen if I have stuff going on in my life that I just need to get off my shoulders. Kaleb probably knows more about my life than my own parents do. Kaleb and I used to not be close, we used to fight all the time. Over the years, we’ve both grown up and grown together and I am so happy about that.

Something that surprises me about Kaleb is how overprotective he is over me. I know typically the other brother is very over protective over the younger sister but, surprisingly enough my younger brother is more protective than my older brother. Kaleb like to think he needs to approve of the guys I bring home and he usually makes good points when he says the guy is not the right one for me or is not going to treat me right.

Kaleb is my little brother. My relationship with him used to be rough. Kaleb and I used to argue all the time. We would pick fights with each other about the smallest things. Over the years, we’ve grown up to realize we don’t need to argue about everything. Kaleb and I are now closer than we have ever been. He tells me every little thing about his relationship with one of my girl friends, and I tell him everything about my relationship. I would consider Kaleb probably one of my best friends. Most people would say it sounds lonely to be best friends with your brother but what most people don’t realize is that I have grown up and matured enough that I will always put family before anyone.

My little brother means more to me than he realizes. That kid will forever be my best friend. I pray every night that he and I never have to grow apart. He is really my best friend. He has taught me a lot throughout my life and I am so grateful for that. He taught me what a real man is like. He has taught me about some things that are in my car and so many more things.
