Winter sports have begun! Amherst girls varsity basketball opened up their season with a scrimmage against Tri-County.
Coach Adam Miller said, “We are light years ahead from last year which is awesome. It is fun coming into year two and the girls already know what we are running. We played very well on offense and had a suffocating defense. We missed a lot of easy shots but overall we are ready to play in a meaningful game.”
The girls officially start their season Tues., Nov. 25 with a non-conference game at 7:15 p.m. vs. Rosholt at Amherst High School.
