May 1 vs Westfield: W 6-3
The Falcons started out the month with a non-conference win against Westfield 6-3 thanks to scoring four runs in the third inning. Hits came from Michael Glodowski, Daniel Juarez, Wyatt Beaudoin, and Gage Glodowski, with senior Sully Perkins chipping in two.
May 4 @ Iola-Scandinavia: W 5-3
Baseball got the win against Iola last night, going 5-3. Jackson Lutz went two-for-two at the plate, with Michael Glodowski and Daniel Juarez sharing pitching duties. The team improves to 7-2 in conference, and 9-3 overall.
May 5 vs Pacelli: L 11-5
The game was tied 3-3 after the fourth inning, but six runs in the fifth inning created a hole the Falcons couldn’t get out of, dropping a non-conference game against Pacelli by a score of 11-5. Amherst had no lack of hitting, with six out of nine starters notching at least one run, with two from Logan Hintz and three from Michael Glodowski.
May 7 vs Menominee Nation: W 8-1
After sitting at 1-1 through the first two innings, Amherst went on a hitting spree, scoring two in the third, two in the fourth, and three in the fifth to win 8-1 against Menominee Nation in a conference match-up.
May 9 Triangular

May 11 @ Shiocton: W 13-2
Michael Glodowski got the win, pitching five innings and striking out six in the Falcons’ 13-2 win over Shiocton. Daniel Juarez went 2-for-2 at the plate, Cashton Cullen went 1-for-2 with three RBIs, and Wyatt Beaudoin went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Also getting hits were Michael Glodowski, Levi Cullen, Sully Perkins, Jacob Ruggles, and Logan Hintz.
May 12 @ Mosinee: L 9-6
After scoring four runs in the first inning, Mosinee dug a hole that Amherst could never get out of, despite scoring two runs in the second, one in the third, and three in the fifth. Senior Michael Glodowski and sophomore Levi Cullen each had doubles, to no avail.
May 14 @ Manawa: W 19-3
Amherst bounced back after the loss to Mosinee with a shellacking of Manawa 19-3 in a home conference game. Amherst started the game by scoring four runs in both the first and second inning but then turned on the jets with 9 runs in the third and two more in the fourth. Senior Sully Perkins went 3-for-3, notching two triples. Not to be outdone, senior Michael Glodowski added a triple of his own. Doubles came from junior Jackson Lutz and senior Logan Hintz.
May 15 vs Omro: L 16-5
The tables were turned the next day when Amherst was on the receiving end of the shellacking, losing 16-5 to Omro in a non-conference game. Jackson Lutz and Michael Glodowski each had a hit with Levi Cullen getting two hits.
May 16 Triangular
vs Rosholt: W 14-4
The Falcons bounced back with a big non-conference win against the Rosholt Hornets 14-4.
vs Columbus Catholic: W 9-5
Outscoring Columbus Catholic 9-5, the Amherst Falcons were able to get back to form, stringing together two wins in a row in this non-conference game.
May 18 vs Weyauwega-Fremont: W 8-0
It was back to conference play for Amherst, blanking the Warhawks 8-0. Amherst scored seven runs in the second inning, adding one more in the sixth in the lopsided win. Sophomore Levi Cullen notched a triple.
May 21 @ Bonduel: L 4-3
Amherst dropped a close one against Bonduel, losing 4-3 thanks to the Bears tallying one run in the third inning and three runs in the fifth. Just a day before graduation, senior Michael Glodowski went out with a bang thanks to a double.
May 26 vs Wautoma: L 5-2
Amherst set the tone, scoring a run in the first and second innings, but Wautoma was having none of it, scoring four runs in the third and one in the fourth to hand the Falcons a loss. Logan Hintz and Sully Perkins each had a double, but it wasn’t enough to win the game. Hits also came from Levi Cullen and Gage Glodowski.
Amherst closed out the regular season with a 11-3 record in conference and a 16-9 record overall.
The Falcons will open tournament play versus Nekoosa on May 28 at 4:30 pm.
